Welcome | Ngiyakwemukela | Welkom

As an aspiring changemaker, I work at maximising potential in my professional life, volunteer work and in my living environment. I wish to broaden and deepen my practice-oriented learning, as well as my track record of efficient, sustainable leadership, particularly organisations with a local governance focus.

My work experience includes my position within the Office of the City Manager at the City of Johannesburg (Assistant Director), National Association of Social Housing Organisations (Project Coordinator), UN-Habitat in Nairobi and independent consulting for a variety of projects.

Academic qualifications include a MSc in Development Planning (Distinction) from Wits University where I was awarded Best Student in the Town and Regional Planning Department across all years and numerous scholarships, a BSocSci from the University of Cape Town, and an International Baccalaureate from United World Colleges Red Cross Nordic (full scholarship).

In 2016 I was recognised as a Mail & Guardian top 200 Young South African, by SouthAfrica.info as a top 40 South African under 40 and was awarded full scholarship to attend the Young African Leaders Initiative programme for Southern Africa.
